The academic session of the college is from 1st June to 31st May. The 31st May, which is an end of an academic session followed by a summer vacation.
Admission to different classes generally begins in the beginning of the Academic Session and Continues till the last date fixed for such admission. It begins after the publication of the result of Board, C.H.S.E.C. (till the last date.) The students seeking admission to +2 1st yr. Arts and Science should apply on-line for E-admission in SAMS Lab, of this College as per Govt. notification from time to time with all required information for the purpose.
The Students seeking admission to +3 Arts should apply in the prescribed form with required documents for the purpose Applications which are incomplete and received after the last date are likely to be rejected. Only selected candidates will be given intimation card for admission. They should take admission on the admission date mentioned on the intimation card; other their claims for admission will be forfeited.
Before a student is admitted to the college, she and/ her guardian, if / she is a minor i.e. below 18 years of age, should sign an undertaking in proper form to the effect that the student shall abide by the rules of the college.
Each student should register the address at which she lives in the college office. Any subsequent change of address be immediately intimated to the office.
Bicycles and Vehicles should be kept padlocked in the proper place meant for the purpose. In no case those should be put on the college verandas.
A bonafide student is issues an identity card. A student is required to keep her identity card always with her and to produce it at any time on demand in the college. In case the Identity card is lost, it should immediately be reported to the principal and on submission of necessary fees, a duplicate one will be issued to/her. Misuse of the Identity card is an offence.
A student is required to attend minimum 75% attendance of the total lectures delivered to her on individual subjects in the theory, practical and tutorial classes. Otherwise /she will be debarred from promotion and appearing at the final examination. A student attending above 60% and falling below 75% may produce medical certificate in favor of short of attendance.
A student is required to see the notice board to know details of the notice given regarding information like collection of dues, the commencement of examination, the closure of college and all other important academic information. So to see the Notice Board every day should be a routine work of the student as it is the news brochure o f the college. Tainting and snatching notice from the notice board is an offence and any body found guilty of that will be severely punished.
Fees are collected on every month and the dates for collection for respective classes are specified by date by 1 p.m. If they fail give the fees on mentioned date they may give it on the last date of t lit’ month with a fine of Re.1/- If/ she fails to give the fees for two consecutive months, her name is struck off the college rolls and needs to be readmitted by giving one month extra fee as admission lees and the arrears and current fees. Besides the tuition fees, all the fines, examination fees and all other fees, if any, are collected along with it in the collection counter.
A student can be issued C.L.C./T.C. at any time /she wishes to take within or after /her studentship. For that /she has to apply with the requisite fees stating the reason to the principal clearing all /her dues and with all clearances from library and. laboratories. Submitting it /she will be issued C.L.C., T.C. Conduct Certificates are generally issues to students alone unless it is applied for C.L.C., still a student can only be issued. Continuing Certificate if /she desire it within /her studentship.
Since it is desirable to apprise a guardian of the information of his ward regarding academic performances, marks of different examinations, attendance in classes and other matters, progress Reports are sent at the end of each examination to the guardians clearly displaying these on the progress reports.
The following are some of the other rules of discipline to be maintained by the students strictly.
Violating the rules in any form is considered as a breach of discipline. Breach of discipline may lead one student to heavy penalizing like fine, expulsion and rustication from the College on the recommendation of the Disciplinary Committee duly constituted by the Principal.
